PROVISION OF EXTERNAL AUDIT SERVICES – Expression of Interest

Orant Charities Africa (OCA) is a non-governmental organization serving in rural communities of Malawi. It was founded and registered as an NGO in Malawi in 2014.  OCA serves in Malawi through the implementation of development programmes. It operates in the following thematic areas: Healthcare, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Education, Agriculture, Business Development, and Energy and Environment. Orant Charities Africa offices are located along the M1 Road at Kasese Trading Centre in Dowa District, Malawi.

Orant Charities Africa now invites Expressions of Interest from reputable and qualified Audit Firms to provide external audit services for the financial year ended 31st  December 2025.

Scope of Work

The successful firm will be required to:

• Conduct an independent audit of the organization’s financial statements for the year ended 31st December 2025.
• Express an opinion on whether the financial statements present fairly the financial position of the organization in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Assess compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal controls.
• Issue a management letter highlighting any weaknesses in internal controls and recommendations for improvement.

Eligibility Criteria

Interested firms must:

• Be duly registered and in good standing with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi (ICAM).
• Have a minimum of 5 years in audit reporting under the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
• Have demonstrated experience in auditing NGOs or non-profit organizations.
• Provide profiles of key personnel who will be assigned to the audit.
• Provide proof of valid practicing certificates
• Be independent of OCA and its partners.

Submission of Expressions of Interest

Interested firms should submit their Technical and Financial proposals in sealed envelopes clearly marked:

“Provision of External Audit Services for the Year Ended 31st December 2025.”
