As we have discussed in some of our past blogs, Malawi Vision 2063 has three key pillars that guide the focus of the Vision. These three pillars are meant to build on each other to create the inclusively wealthy and self-reliant nation that they envision. In this blog, we will look at the third pillar of MW2063: Urbanisation.
5 Ways to Get Involved with Orant
how US supporters can help build stability for the poor
Orant is a global community effort. The success of our programs is dependent on the dedication of our employees, donors, and volunteers. We share a calling to stand with the poor and we believe in a notion of community that stretches across the world. Want to know how you can get more involved with Orant? Check out some opportunities below.
1. Organize a Vitamin Drive
In poor communities in Malawi, diets are often not diverse. This means people aren’t getting the nutrients they need to thrive. Prenatal vitamins are especially imperative to ensure the good health of babies. If you’re interested in running a vitamin or prenatal vitamin drive in your community, reach out to us for more details!
2. Host an event with your friends and family
Help us expand our community by spreading awareness. Host an outreach event. Turn your birthday party or holiday party into a charity event for Orant. Do you attend a regular book club, bible study, or volunteer club? Get in contact with us to schedule an Orant Representative to attend your event, facilitate dialogue, and share information about our work. We love connecting with like-minded big-hearted change-makers.
3. Do you own, manage, or work at a restaurant or bar? Host a Giveback Night!
Make your values known by showing that you pay it forward. Designate a percentage of your profits for the night to Orant. We would love to work with you to create promotional materials for your Giveback Night.
4. Spread the word
Sign up for our monthly newsletter and forward it with a personal note to friends or colleagues. Read one of our blog posts that you like? Hype it up on social media. Like one of our Facebook posts? Click that share button! Our stories can reach more people with your help.
5. Attend our gala
Orant’s 2021 Gala will take place on Saturday, October 2nd at 7 pm at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas, Texas. All funds raised will go directly to our programs in Malawi. We are excited to gather together in person again and hope to see you there! If you’re a business owner and would like to sponsor our gala, email [email protected].
Let us know how you’d like to get involved. There are infinite ways you can make a difference, and we welcome your creative input.
