Thank you to Donors from Orant's Country Director

“Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see”

– Mark Twain

Amidst the stress of global economic turmoil, your sacrificial giving inspired our hope. It hasn’t been easy to cope with Covid-19. Some of Orant’s programs, like the mobile clinic, were put on hold due to pandemic restrictions. We felt at a loss. It is our passion and purpose to deliver healthcare to rural areas. Thanks to you, we were able to do so again.

You helped us protect staff with equipment and testing. You made it possible for us to distribute masks to our community. In March, we saw the year’s highest number of patients. Because of you, medical supplies never ran out. We saw schools re-open so that girls could complete their studies on time. We upgraded an irrigation club’s manual watering cans to a solar-powered pump. This allowed farmers to yield more crops and increase their capital.

On Giving Tuesday in 2019, we raised money to drill wells in 2020. Your support allowed us to drill more wells this year than before. We watched clean water gush out of the ground; the community erupt with joy and celebration. We saw the smiles of women who would no longer have to walk long distances for water.

Most of our donors live thousands of miles away. You may have never seen the people you’re supporting. You may have not met the students you’re sponsoring. But you communicate with our community through your kindness.

May God Almighty Bless you, our friends. You are a blessing to Malawi.
