Supporting Young Malawian Dreams
Born and raised in Kasapila village, Omega is the fourth born in a family of seven children. Despite being the only child in her family to have reached secondary school, her journey has been far from easy.
Orant first met Omega in 2017 when she was in Standard 2. Raised by a single mother struggling to provide for her children, Omega suffered from malnutrition. Her condition was so severe that she had to drop out of school.
With the generosity of Orant’s donors, Omega received life-saving treatment and regained her strength. With her health restored, she returned to school, full of determination.
Since then, Orant supported her education at St. Peter’s Primary School, and step by step, she has been determined to build her future and that of her family. Her passing of JCE is not just an academic achievement, rather a victory over hardship, hunger, and doubt.
“I want to become a nurse,” Omega says with confidence, “I want to help others, the way I was helped.”
As Omega prepares to go into Form 3, a step closer to writing her Malawi School Certificate of Education Examination (MSCE), we are hopeful that she will perform well and make us proud. We are happy watching Omega grow into a responsible, determined young woman and we remain committed to walking alongside her on this journey.
A big thank you to our donors, whose generosity paves the way for dreams to come true for young minds like Omega.
